I daresay its razor Sharp the sprinter from the 1980s. He was a NSW horse when he w best known but I'll see if I can find any info on his early races.

Yes, he won at least one Newmarket that I remember. I always thought he was owned by WA people but I have been told that no he was a QLD horse won won group races in NSW and Melbourne.

I was involved in a conversation involving good straight six horses when a friend said Razor Sharp was a QLD horse. I thought he was a WA horse. So here I am still trying to find out which state laid claim to him.

Started his career with an inglorious run at Gosford as a 2yo and I remember him as a NSW horse.
However Heron Bridge that won the 1983 or 84? Newmarket was a WA horse as was Placid Ark who came on the scene about 1987 could that be the cause of the confusion.www.barnesphotography.com.au

razor sharp ran 71 times, for 15 wins,,,13 seconds,,,9 thirds. he didnt win at 2,,but did run 2nd at muswellbrook.
he had 6 races at 3. he ran 1st in a maiden at Newcastle over 900mtrs.
and also won the Gosford Pacesetters and the Grafton Ramornie.
and second in the AJC Galaxy.
(he had a full brother called Steel Blade who won a few too.)
and all the other wins,,,newmarket etc,,,,
so,,,from those wins,,one wouldnt think he was a Qld or WA horse ???
however,,,,,my source is still seeking,,,,,
a maiden at Newie says he is a NSW horse ???

Thank you very much. I was confusing the horse with Placd Ark. 'Tis just wonderful as you age and your memory lets you down. Anyway my friend who says Razor was a Q'lander is older than I and his memory is also questionable.
