If you put "arabian horse costume" in the google image search, quite a few come up.

How about these few pics? The best I could find on the net.

Hope these are of some help :). I got them off ebay (advert pics for the halter). I always come across them when I am looking for horsey stuff :)

Oh and here is one I like that I found on Dog Pile (search engine :))

Another source of inspiration would be to get the google images of 'orientalism' paintings - many of the paintings from the 'orientalism' period have some wonderful pictures of arabian horses in costume. Even the paintings of historical events, such as armies entering major middle eastern and near eastern cities have these detailed pictures of horses in costume.

My problem is that although making a costume would be a blast, no way am I going to be the one riding the horse in the picture, corpulant middle old ladies in costume somehow don't fit the picture:-)

Mmmmmm.....thanks for pointing that out Lisa, I now have to review my plans to drag out my old costume, LOL.
Here is an example of a real bad costume made by myself who can not sew a hankerchief.
G', who is that masked rider?

thankyou everyone....I will look up ebay and ask them
unfortunately I cant use photos off the net or other paintings as it will infringe on copyright eeeeeeek all though if i'm not selling them I practise from such. I'm starting a new business and need to show some real detail and versitality, and will be hoping to sell it
thankyou all again

thankyou pea-nutz I like the yellow and black one...I think I will make my own one up based on that

I have bought the video from here & it is so easy to make one & It can be done with no sewing!
Not one single stitch so very easy if you cant sew to save yourself....hahahaha

The costumes on that site are spectacular to say the least , Well worth a look.

hi there I'm not hoping to really make one!!!! I think I'd strangle the poor horse!!! this is what I want a picture for kind of like this stuff I've been doing - www.uniquepetportraits.bravehost.com/furniture.html I need to have a head shot that would fit on the cabinets

Very creative shantel!
These are on webshots
maybe you could do a composite picture if you are worried about copyright.

13-12-05, 05:17 AM
Shantel did you paint those cabinets yourself?? You've got some great talent! :)

thankyou gg-vice I think that is what I'll resort to.
yes horselover ..I've just recently had my seconds daughter and trying to start an at home business to be an at home mum in the future. My husband made the cabinets himself. he's very clever

Just thought I'd let you know that I think my friend would be flattered if you thought her home made costume was beautiful enough to use as art work!!
