OK I was laughed out of the stockhorse post, for saying I took my warmblood stallion to a campdraft.... so thought our lovelly warmbloods deserve their own post, as I know there is a lot of us out there that have these grand animals.

This is my stallion as a 3yo tied to the truck at a show - he went champion warmblood this day.

and warming up at his first official dressage comp Aug last year.

and doing his freejumping for his colt classification

& this is his first son Leuka, aged 2 months old tomorrow. I measured him last night and is 120cm.

& this is my expensive boy... grandson of Donnerhall. Out of my stockhorse mare.

he will be one year old, day before christmas

I'm impressed at taking your WB to a campdraft ... I was always sooooo tempted to take along my big grey ISH in a dressage saddle and have a go (he loves to chase cows) ... but then I found out you get eliminated if the horse bites the cows (naughty boy!) :+

The ISH definitely would have had a go at campdrafting ... maybe in another lifetime!

lol, so glad I didn't guess wrong and get into trouble!! Would love to see photos, haven't seen many ISHs.

Pfft...as if WBs should be shunned from the campdrafting circle! They may not get it done quickly, but they'll get it done! Although, the cows may come in with teeth marks on their bum (Ahem!). Yep, Titan got exposed to rounding up cattle during his post-breaking roadwork adventures. There was a paddock of cattle that were always getting out so we took advantage of the opportunity and kept putting them back in. Titan thought it was very much beneath him though! He would do it well enough, and would have no hesitation in pushing a beast....but those ears would be back at them and he would bite them if he was p'ed off at them!!! :-P

Age 3 weeks (we were still taking bets as to whether he'd be bay or chestnut...he was a tricky one!)

I can cheat. The chestnut & the grey in my signature picture are actually warmbloods as well as first cross stock horses. The mother is also registered AWHA, but I guess she doesn't really count as a warmblood.

Mandala is by the trakehner stallion Tallyho Mandrake. This is Mandy's dad. He's about 20yo in this pic & this is his last season at stud (shame I'd have loved to use him again). Mandy is a 2yo in this pic. Please forgive the hairy ears.

Monokol is the sire of Mon Ami. This is the old man at 29yo, he's retired from stud. Mia is a 3yo in her photo.

Thanks Crisp.

I didn't think the photo went through, so I had to start again.

He is 16.3hh, Contango II, out of an Argentinus mare. He is quite "cute". I call him my "tiny pony". He's in his first few months of competition and is doing quite nicely.

Thanks for your comments Crisp. I don't know what I did wrong with the photo - I can try to put it up again.

Hi everyone,
You all have very beautifull horses.
I thought I would post a picture of my Arabian Warmblood. He is 3yo, 17.2hh and by Gumbanero. He has unfortunitely grown too big for me to do eventing on, and we are moving to Queensland in a couple of months, so he is sadly for sale. He is the quietest most loveable horse I have ever known.
Heres some pics.

Crisp,
You showed us photo of a very good horse. With conformation like that it would score high in front of any knowledgeable commission anywhere in the world.

As it should be on professional photo, inside legs, closer to camera are weight bearing, and showing true conformation. Outside legs should always be in shape of letter ďVĒ.

Photo under saddle is not as informative as the one next to the track. (Riders right hand could relax a little).

I am impressed.

You are right Crisp,
Baci11 is also very nice, but I canít see him standing still to view his conformation. (Rider pivoted around her knees a bit).

Some horses in Australia are top class. This one is well breed too (!)Donít understand why some people import from Europe? They will not get top horses from there. Breeders need them at home to keep industry in order. They only sell to mugs o/s what they donít need. Rest is overpriced or no good.

He he,

Ok CRISP you can now laugh me out of the warmblood post with my ASH gelding.

Your warmblood is probably a better campdrafter than my ASH, i spend more time convincing people he is NOT a warmblood, so i just don't bother anymore, not that i have anything against warmbloods anyway, if they want to think that, that is OK by me.

He can jump and his dressage is coming along nicely, but he just can't work out what those cows are for! he'd rather stand there and lick them... I was literally laughed out of the campdraft, my horse and cow spent more time making friends and the beast wouldn't move!

BTW your warmblood is gorgeous, such a lovely boy, and if he can campdraft, good on him!
