To those kind people who responded to my first post about rescuing an elderly golden retriever in Bowral; I range the animal shelter today and was told she'd been reunited with her family who were looking for her everywhere! Hurray!

Apparently she followed their daughters out of their yard when they went to basketball, and the parents didn't notice she was gone for a couple of hours. They picked her up last week after her adventure, so its a happy ending all round :) Mind you, here's hoping they keep a good eye on the old girl from now on ;)

Thanks for the update, I love to hear happy endings to situations like that. All I can think about is how the poor old girl must have been feeling without her family. It was a job well done by you Cate.

Cheers

Yes, thanks Dragoness :) It's a feeling of 'mission accomplished' - I was so happy to hear the news :D

I love happy endings too, especially ones that involve beautiful aged golden retrievers finding their family. Wonderful

Hi Cate,
Yep that was me you had a chat with at the shelter. :-) :-)
The old duck is a bit of a repeat offender. LOL.
