Horses. I thought to remind us why we come here we should start another horse picture thread. So without further delay I present to you at last 'Cosmic Eagle'. :)
Cosmic is a sweet mare who loves face scratches and face cuddles while I whisper sweet nothings in her fuzzy ears. She loves molasses oat bars and spends an inordinate amount of time sticking out her tongue and smacking her lips. And she is in love with Jack the Showjumper. :D Sorry about the picture size. I can't seem to reduce the sizes.

In this picture are my two nieces come to visit Cosmic.

Good pics skymare! She looks a nice mare! I like the close-up shot. She has a just about perfect facial star, too. This is the one you're wanting to sell, isn't it? As she looks a nice type of mare, I'm sure that post-EI you'll find a buyer. She's rideable isn't she?

skymare

thanks guys! :) the girls are my brother's children. the property is sassyk's an ex cyberhorser who i agisted at till just recently. it's a very hilly place! good for building muscle on lazt horses. and yeah she does have a little attitude, but what do you expect from an ex racer. :P

skymare
21-01-08, 09:50 AM
no, that was my brother's camera and yes she is very rideable, i have the aches and pains to prove it! :D

Hi,

Nice horse skymare, she is very pretty.

I have a new horse too. She arrived last Thursday and she is a real sweetie, I love her to bits and can't wait to ride her.

Oooooh she is very pretty JoMig.

Here is Twiggy and Andy in some morning shots.

The top one actually goes on the bottom date wise. It was during a flood, but some 'arty' friends of mine told me it would look better on top.

Yes, let's see more horses! Nice horse of yours Skymare, and the scenery is gorgeous. Are you trying to make us all jealous, because I think it's working ...

Does anyone know how to upload a photo? I'd like to share a photo of my freebie gelding, but don't know how ...

Suzie Q
21-01-08, 10:43 AM
You can register with www.photobucket.com

I upload to message board size. I am on dial up so I downsize my pics before I upload as it is a lot quicker.

Then just copy and paste the img code in here. Or one of the other codes if you don't want the little box near it. The direct code I think.

21-01-08, 10:45 AM
unfortunately vicky, you need to open a photobucket account and upload pics into that. it is very easy to open an account, just google photobucket to find the site. upload pics and then copy and paste the pic. let us know when you've got to the uploading point and we'll help you from there. :)
what breed is your horse jomig? it is a beautiful solid black colour...and horse!
lol, kentrace, that's a lotta pink. is that someone's poor dad in a tutu? :7

Really pretty mare Skymare, but I'm not so sure about the pink Kentrace !!

Corr - an opportunity to shamelessly swamp you with photos of my lovelies.

But first dear old lovely and my OH - it was a gag thing we did for a friends Birthday. Did a fake registration in his name for a half share in Hunter, took Hunter out into the paddock with Dick and dressed them up bit and then did a newspaper article about how Hunter was the oldest (at 34) horse to ever win the Melbourne Cup - mind it had to be the Foster Melbourne Cup as I only had a big blue ribbon to prentend to be a shiny rug - oh well.

Thanks for this thread. I have been VERY disappointed at some of the recent threads, and also think we need to get back to why we are here...we love horses.
I can never resist a chance to brag...so, (hopefully, assuming I have got photobucket to work...iffy at the best of times!!!!!!) is a picture of my Byalee Briar filly I took a week ago. She is just like her grandpa...Bjorsells Briar 899...right down to the three white stockings...She also may be liver chestnut just like him, as some hair is starting to grow back liver, and around her nose is liver too!
She is beautiful...and she finally showed me some trot paces.....WOW is the only word I can think of! There is some great footage of Briar 899 on YouTube....just google Jan Brinks and they all come up!
I am sure everybody else has foals they are just as in love with as I am!!!!!
Good luck to us all!

Hey Skymare,
very nice mare, how come you're planning to sell her?

skymare
22-01-08, 04:09 AM
i'm selling her cause a) i want an arab and
b) she has trouble getting in foal last few seasons. though i am going to have her checked soon and see if she can't be fixed. if certain circumstances change i might keep her longer, i don't know. i do agist so i can only afford so many horses. if i had my own property i'd definately keep her.

Here are some pics of ours. Sorry there are too many but I couldn't decide who to show and who to leave out :-( :

http://www.teamglobal.eu.com/foals/sable5.jpg

This is my favorite pic of our first 'baby' born in Germany, Sable, who was sold only last week to the people we originally bought her mum from. I always thought I'd get to see our Sable in the flesh before we sold her but I never got the chance to, so I'm really glad she'll be somewhere where we can visit her in the future anyway.

http://www.teamglobal.eu.com/foals/blackdelicia4.jpg

This is our little GRP filly Delicia taken early last year. We were so lucky to get Delicia when she was a newly born foal because as it's turned out she's the only foal by Hilken's Black Delight so far who's looked exactly like her dad.

http://www.teamglobal.eu.com/mares/pics/donnerfee1.jpg

This is Sable's mum, Donnerfee, the first broodmare we bought in Germany and my 'special' girl over there.

http://www.teamglobal.eu.com/mares/pics/festina2.jpg

This is our 'best' mare ElStPrSt Festina who's finally due to have her long awaited foal to Rohdiamant in a few weeks. The bub in the pic with her is her previous foal, who's by Royal Hit.

http://www.teamglobal.eu.com/mares/pics/walburge1.jpg

This is our girl Walburge who 'lives' in Canada.

http://www.teamglobal.eu.com/stallions/pics/florencino2.jpg

This is our precious, precious boy, Florencino, who should have been kicking some major 'butt' in his Koerung late last year but who's instead still embroiled in the middle of a court case that actually has nothing to do with him. Hopefully the court case will finally be over soon so that our Florencino can finally train for his Stallion Test.

http://www.teamglobal.eu.com/mares/pics/ally2.jpg

This is a not so good pic of my spoilt rotten and loved to pieces 'baby girl' Allegria (ally cat) taken in the midst of property renovations/destructions last summer.

AND, the one in my signature below is of course the (even more spoilt rotten) love of my life, Sexy/Cortes.

Kelly.

I doesn't matter how much you love your own you always see something else you want to snaffle. Some of Leannes babies I'd take in a heartbeat and I trying to work our if Kelly would notice if Delicia went missing - I am sure I could hide her amongst my lot, along with Bats baby.

And Festina whispered in my ear she love to have Django baby LOL.

Yep Macrnnoch , see, I can see where you are coming from :) :)

Hehehe, Blackhorse, don't know about Festina ;-) but Walburge was actually bred to a nice Friesan stallion in Canada a few years ago by her previous owner and produced quite a nice colt, though all going well this year she has a long awaited date with some May Sherif semen.

Lea, thankyou. What an incredibly lovely thing to say. I have to say, by the way, how much I love all of your pics of Mambo. He just looks sooo beautiful in them, especially in the paddock shots. I remember thinking the same thing when I was looking at some pics you posted a few weeks ago of what I believe was also him?

C'mon, keep the pics coming everybody.:-)

Hi. I'm pretty new to Cyberhorse, but I think it's great! I loved your invitation to gloat (doesn't everyone!) and have attached a couple of pics of my baby clydie cross. I took her on a cattle mustering adventure last weekend to give her mind a rest from arena work and you would have thought she'd done it a million times before. I am quite a nervous rider and she is still relatively green so I was worried it may go pear, but it ended up being a great weekend for the both of us!! Look forward to learning about everone else's pride and joys!!

It gives a true indication of the sort of horses we all have, which is after all, what we are all about!

he he he, Pilchy - if you ever have to sell Lucky, I'm sure those ones - second and third from last - ('Lucky in mask' and 'shoulder of Lucky's rug') would be great advertising shots when someone asks to see photos of your horse! I think there was a discussion recently about the strange photos sellers use to sell their horses, but I think it would be REALLY funny to send these as 'fractured' selling points, "My horse is so quiet I can put a mask on him -here's the proof" and "Can rug him at night and then take photo without him running away"... I can see a thread coming on, "Fractured advertising..." You'll have to put those photos in it with the selling blurb to accompany them!

Love all the photos, Pilchy, these just reminded me of the sort of things sometimes people use for advertising and you think, "Huh????"

WOW! i have broadband and it has taken more than a couple minutes to upload, grrr.

lol, pilchy, i love the 'coming in for the kiss' photo. he really looks like he's anticipating some smooch action with the eyes half closed, lol. and the smile is cute too. he must get a long with the ladies. ;)

Lol Leanne.. Good thing we are never selling him then aye :P

When I took the photos at night I hadnt worked out how to take the photos yet, but it said night portrait.. Silly me took a photo with a flash.. I think we were all a bit stunned by the flash :P So then I took another one with different settings and it till flashed.. Poor Lucky must of been blind by that point :(
Lol.. the picture of Dakota was a sale photo.. Lol.. But we ended up not using them anyway. Lol..

Ahha.. I will have to make a post on the fractured advertising thread :P Lol..

Lol Sky hehe.. funny thing is Monty hates kisses and hugs.. He is too cool for them- hates affectoin :P hehe.. And he is not the ladies man at all :P they scare him :P

Cheers PB
