I can't post a photo of my first saddle, but i promise you it was the WORST saddle in the universe. I home-made stock type saddle that was terribly made and unbearably uncomfortable. The little 'whatsitmecallits' that keep you in were quite small and stuck inwards. They would dig into my thighs. It was an atrocious, ugly, painful saddle and I had to get rid of it eventually.

My new Luc Childeric is a seriously ugly saddle but the two treeless I have beat it hands down!

But none of mine are any where near as awful as that pink job, horsesRgr8.

I was going to say my Luc Childeric too - until I rode in it.

Those pink teckna saddles? Have seen a yellow saddle on ebay too.

I know NikJ, I know! I am absolutely with my horse when I'm in that saddle. It's the only reason I could pay double what the horse cost to buy it!

This blog has some truly awful saddles. She only posts sporadically, but it's well worth looking through the older posts. :)

I remember when they brought out the 'Jaguar' dressage saddle, we had it in our saddlery, great saddle to ride in, but seriously it looked like it was from mars :), oh and then there was the bright blue wintec that I borrowed for my first endurance ride, really comfortable, but really BLUE???

Yes me too. Was hard to get my head around too.

Shapshifter, I really think the blocks are HOOOOOOGE. But it does not ride that way.

I do think the Innova is uglier.

I have one that isn't coloured or trying to be adventurous, but it is seriously awful. It was my first saddle. Why do I still have it? I couldn't sell it and don't seem to be able to give it away! Pommel is way to high, the cantle is just as high, so it's a deep seat, but a horribly narrow gullet...so I can't think of any horse you'd want to put it on...I graduated from that as my first (Trading Post buy when I had just started with my horse) to my Trainer's Jessica...it was like going from driving an Escort to a Peugot!
Anyway, I'm sure I could take a piccy of said awful saddle, if I thought it was worthy of polluting my camera's lens :P

I dont mind the look of the LCs. The WOWs are pretty ugly, but again so nice to ride in that it doesn't really matter what they look like!

If the WOW lady had got back to me. There would be a good chance I would own one now. Seriously fugly but good.

I think all the treeless saddles I've seen are hideous to look at. But they might be nice to ride in or nice for the horses they fit, so I'm only saying I hate the LOOK of them, not that they're crap saddles.

I think the Innova with the "yooje" thigh thingos are very ugly.

I think a lot of stock saddles are very ugly.

I think anything not black or brown is ugly! Anything pink is unspeakable!

I find western saddles unattractive, but that is purely my personal taste. A lot of western riders might be horrified by a dressage saddle.

I think Half_Pass posted a photo of a Portuguese saddle recently, and that was a shocker. It would be hard to get into, and even harder to get out of!
